30.06.09: futronic achieves record sales

futronic GmbH achieved the record sales of 8,1 million Euro in the preceding financial year. This corresponds to an asset of 15 percent compared with the previous year. A special sales increase can be observed in the sector of industrial automation. Thus the company in Tettnang is maintaining sales growth.

“We are very satisfied with the course of business“, summarizes Michael Preuss, who has been running the business of futronic GmbH together with Wolfgang Lachmann since 2004. “This is the best result ever in the history of our company.” Despite the global economic crisis according to Preuss there is no cause for concern. “We develop and produce under normal conditions”, managing director Lachmann is complementing. “We already have orders until February 2010.”

futronic just set the seal on the big order from a Taiwanese customer. futronic is developing and producing control systems for a total of seven glass production lines for the glass manufacturer in Taiwan. The sales volume of this large order is in the mid of a six-figure level. “With this order we are charged to capacity until end of September”, Lachmann comments.

According to Preuss the reason for the positive development above all is the continuing boom in the container glass industry. Despite the actual economic crisis the companies are going on to invest in the refurbishment of old facilities and in the construction of new ones. In this niche market futronic has gained a top ranking in the world. Besides the manufacturers themselves numerous constructors of glass production lines and machines belong to the customers of the control systems specialist.

To open up new global marketing possibilities futronic has extended its sales network. The main focus this year is on the Near and Middle East and North Africa. In these regions three representatives acquire successfully new customers and orders, there are ongoing negotiations with further potential partners in these regions.

The control systems specialist increased its business above all in the sector of industrial automation. The share of the total sales of the company from orders of machine and system constructors of other branches was already 17 percent in the preceding financial year. The year before it was 13 percent. ”Thus we approach the target figure of a turnover quota of 20 to 25 percent in the foreseeable future for this sector”, Wolfgang Lachmann explains. A new customer amongst others is the KTW K.Weisshaupt GmbH in Friedrichshafen.
