The JX3-BN-ETH module is for setting up remote I/O stations. This module allows synchronuous communication between controllers of the JetControl series and the remote I/O station via Ethernet.
The JX3-BN-ETH module is equipped with two RJ45 Ethernet ports. Through these Ethernet ports the module can be integrated into networks with star or line (daisy chain) topology.
This module supports both static IP address assignment using a DIP switch on the backplane, as well as dynamic IP address assignment via, for example, DHCP.
The bus head JX3-BN-ETH also serves as power supply module for up to 8 JX3 expansion modules. Combined with the power supply module JX3-PS1, up to 16 JX3 expansion modules can be connected to the bus head module. One module allows to set up remote I/O stations with up to 256 I/O channels.
The module is equipped with four LEDs which are for monitoring the communication and internal supply voltages. This way, straightforward diagnostics during commissioning and operation can be carried out.
