Production of RJ45 Connector Systems
Abstract:
- NANO-D as master PLC. Six controllers networked via JetWay-R
- Vibratory feeders for component supply and feeding controlled by six distributed NANO-A controllers
- Rotary tables (with gearless drives) controlled by a JetMove 600 servo amplifier (high dynamic performance in spite of the disadvantageous ratio JL/JM=58)
- XY axis system for positioning metal sheets using EcoStep drive systems (a combination of servo and stepper motor technology) with a resolution of 8,000 increments per revolution and a positioning accuracy of 0.75 µm. The system is controlled by a JX2-SM2 module.
- Pneumatic handling system controlled by ten JX2-IO16 modules
- The plant is operated via a full-graphics HMI
- Remote maintenance via modem
- Function control via analog inputs of the JX-SIO module
- XY axis for ink-jet printer for labeling controlled by two JX2-SM1D modules
The finished product:
The new cabling system offers advantages both to users and technicians who are in charge of commissioning. The design of this system virtually prevents wrong connections. This connector system does without the usual contact technology and is therefore able to transmit data of the most demanding applications up to the RGB range. Installation of this system is extremely simple, safe and time-saving.
Criteria in Favor of Jetter AG:
One of the key criteria for the customer to award Jetter AG this contract was the productivity gain to be expected. Two distinctive features of JetWeb technology allowed to reach this goal:
- Seamless data integration, both "vertically" (from ERP down to the station controller), as well as "horizontally" (parts tracking)
- Reduction of downtimes due to automatic adaption and calibration of the machine
