The Process to be Controlled

Lumberg use JetWeb for their wastewater treatment system, which is a major constituent of the electroplating plant.

Criteria in Favor of Jetter AG:

The main reasons for Lumberg to install Jetter devices were Web-based visualization, as well as the Ethernet port at the controller, which allows for remote diagnostics.

Technical Description of the Production Plant:

The wastewater treatment section has got 4 sub-sections. These are: Ion exchanger, filling, treatment, de-sludging.

In the illustration that is highest in the hierarchy of visualization, those four elements are schematically displayed together with the most important data of wastewater treatment. These are the filling levels of the individual tanks, pH values, conductivity, rate of flow values and the respective mode of operation.

Jetter applied an industrial PC to be mounted in a control cabinet and an exterior operator panel with touch screen. On this panel, the process is visualized via Web. The control tasks are executed by a JetControl 246 to which various expansion modules with analog and digital inputs and outputs have been connected. The measured values are processed in the controller and simultaneously transmitted to a sealed data logger according to the strict regulations being effective in this area. The focal point is the plant operating and monitoring device having been set up by JetView-Soft. JetView-Soft generates HTML pages either for an individual runtime or for any Internet browser.
