Production of Air Filters
Abstract:
- Modular machine configuration with networked controllers JetControl 24x
- Handling machine for rolling up and packaging of air filter material
- Additional control systems for filling with glass, transport and order picking
- The plant encomprises 12 JetControl 24x and NANO controllers
- Combination of digital inputs and outputs with a host of electric drives
- Networked using Ethernet TCP/IP
The Product to be Manufactured:
The plant described below is for manufacturing glass-fibre air filters. They are frequently applied in enameling lines, in order to filter out the spray dust.
Criteria in Favor of Jetter AG:
The both efficient and transparent networking of JetControl systems with Ethernet is in line with modular machine approaches. This way, the company has got the possibility of commissioning individual sections of the plant in advance. The possibility of access to the entire plant by any free Ethernet port is highly valued there.
Technical Description of the Production Plant:
The plant consists of various processing sections:
- Manufacturing of glass-fibre filter mats
- Drying
- Cutting, winding and ejecting
- Handling
- Commissioning
- Packaging
Jetter control systems are especially applied in handling and processing. The process ranges from filling the glass fibre machines with glass to packaging the exactly cut and wound glass fibre mats. Both the glass fibre production section and the furnace are self-contained units equipped with their individual control systems.
